Are you considering entering the Kingdom Arts & Sciences or Kingdom Bardic Championships in 2017? Have you been wondering what the requirements are to enter? Below are the requirements for those entrants who wish to compete in the KASB Championships in March 2017.
- Resident of An Tir, if entering for Kingdom Champion, you must have been a resident of An Tir for the past six (6) months, as of the start of the event.
- Attendance at the Competition
- Notification of Intent to Enter- This will be submitted to the Crown, Their Heirs, and the Kingdom Minister of A&S through an online form this year which will be available on January 1, 2017. Notifications will need to be made no later than 11:59pm on the Friday of Twelfth Night.
- Must be age 18, as of the start of the event.
- Must be a paid member of the SCA, Inc.
- Three (3) entries are required to enter the competition for Kingdom Champion.
Each entry needs to be able to stand on its own. For example, if you make a full Italian Renaissance dress with an elaborately embroidered sleeve, then the dress may be entered as a full costume and the sleeve may be entered as embroidery. - Documentation for all entries
- You may submit an entry once as a single entry and then again a following year as part of a championship entry. However, you may not submit the same entry in more than two Kingdom-level Arts & Sciences or Bardic Championships, as either a single or championship entry. No entry that was used in a previous Kingdom Arts & Sciences or Bardic Championship where the contestant was declared Champion may be entered again.
- You may not enter Kingdom Arts & Sciences and Kingdom Bardic Championships simultaneously.
