Entries are given a 30 minute block for their presentation and judge question/answer section. Entrants can use this time as they like, but must keep at least 5 minutes of time for questions from judges. Judges have a 30 minute block following each entry’s presentation to discuss and finalize their assessments.
Schedule for KAS 2026
Saturday: all entries presented to judges and audience.
Sunday morning: 2-3 finalists selected on Saturday will present 1 entry again to Their Royal Majesties and populace, after which a victor will be declared.
All entries (except feedback only) are eligible for the Scholar of An Tir (any entry that scores 80% or higher) and Sable Bonnet of An Tir (highest single scoring entry).
Arts and Sciences AI Competition Statement:
An Tir is in the early processes of developing an AI policy for Arts and Sciences competitions that will have future guidelines for it’s use and how/if it is permitted.
For this KAS competition year, we request that you refrain from using generative AI to create documentation or images (whole or in part) for your entry. This does not preclude use of editing or language tools that may include AI as an element.
If a judge suspects that generative AI was used to create whole or part of your project, they will be instructed to make a note of it so the documentation can be reviewed further by the KAS Officer and designees. Any concerns will be discussed directly with the entrant. Generative AI use to create full or part of your documentation and reference images may cause the entrant to be ineligible for Scholar of An Tir, Sable Bonnet, Finalist and Kingdom Champion designations.
